Released yesterday, the best browser just got better with the release of Firefox 2 once again leaving the already buggy competition (IE7) in it's wake.
If you have not experienced Firefox before or are presently using an older version then get yourself the new kid on the block

It's a sad state of affairs when here, in the 21st century, a country has to slaughter dozens of an already endangered species for commercial gain.
After 21 years Iceland has broken an intenational ban on commercial whaling because 'it is vital to the economy'...which i find to be a pathetic excuse to slaughter whales, if the only way they can support their economy is to kill whales then maybe it's not an economy worth surviving.
There is not one by product from whaling i can think of at this moment that can't be replaced/substituted with something else that is far more sustainable as a source.
Iceland have said that they will kill nine fin whales and 30 minke whales each year and that these figures are sustainable....well, they must of had a serious population explosion because whales are very slow breeders....a female will mate seasonally and have 1 calf every 1-3 years, the gestation period of a whale is from 10 months upwards, considering these animals are endagered to start with i don't know how those figures can be sustainable.
Sometimes i wish i could just distance myself from this self distructive species called the human race because it's times like these where i am less than proud to be called one (and yes, i do feel very strongly about killing these wonderful, gentle and graceful creatures).

The next faze of the governments 'lets get those pesky motorists for every penny they have' is to commence with the roll-out of traffic cameras to catch motorists blocking box junctions or ignoring road signs, they already have these camera's in London and last year issued 1 million (yes, thats 1 million) fines in a city of just 7 million people...assuming that, and i don't know for sure, that the fines are of the same pay structure as other speed camera fines then the minimum you pay with early payment will be £30...hmmmm that means that London on it's own managed to raise about £210,000,000 last year in tax..er, sorry...fines.
It's outrageous that they are going after motorist's with such venom yet can't protect the general public from far more serious crimes like murder/mugging/armed theft etc with the release of these vermin onto our streets with tags or early release.
You know what would be awesome, if everyone gave up driving cars for a year as a protest......the revenue fall-off from camera fines and fuel tax/car tax would cripple the government and probably bankrupt it.....how about that for a protest. (yes i know it would never happen...they know it as well...have us over a barrel good and proper)

After 59 years of production in Blackpool, TVR will close with the loss of 260 jobs.
It's not by any means the end of TVR as the owner Nikolai Smolenski has revelead that production will be switched to Europe...what it does mean is that as well as the jobs loss we lose yet another part of our motoring heritage, TVR will be British in name only.
Three places being touted as possible locations for a new factory are Italy, France and Russia....now call me picky but i can't see TVR having the same niche market appeal with new or existing owners with a 'made in France' or 'made in Russia badge'..Italy maybe but not the other two.
R.I.P TVR.

Was happily chilling downstairs when i heard a loud crying with a bit of screaming thrown in from upstairs, wondering if Aaron had fallen out of bed (again) i rushed upstairs to find he's vomited all over his bed...so i have had to change all the bedding (obviously), give him a bit of a wipedown and try and get him back to sleep....i have a feeling it's going to be one of those nights and these 'vomit sessions' tend to come in more than one's......
Yep, just as i was about to finish this post he did it again....mostly on a little blanket this time but as i got in to the bedroom he was about to hurl some more so in order to save the bedding i just cupped my hands under his mouth and caught the lot......i deserve a medal.......i now need to go scrub my hands for about an hour!!!

Just watched X-men 3 the last stand and really enjoyed it, was quite supprised by some of the plot developments (which i won't mention just incase you have not seen it but intend to) and left me wanting to know what happens from now....well, i f you were hoping for an X-Men 4 movie to tie up some of the obvious lose ends then you will be rather disapointed, as far as i can fathom from the various snippets of info about the X-Men franchise there will be no fourth movie...or at least not in the same format as the last 'trilogy'.
The way forward for the franchise now will rest on the shoulders of 'spin-offs', namely 'Wolverine' and 'Magneto' where we will still get to see some of the awesome comic book mutants brought to life..so thats that for X-Men movies as we know them.
Fox is also quite busy with some other comic book movies with the return of The Fantastic Four...although, with the same train of thought as the future X-Men franchise the new F4 movie will be more in the form of a spin-off whereby the central character will be the return of the Silver Surfer with the F4 crew featuring. The Silver Surfer is awesome and i loved him as a kid so looking forward to this movie.
I also heard that Ridley Scott has been quoted as saying that 'he would always consider going back and doing one' in reference to a new Alien movie, i also heard that Fox Chairman Tom Rothman has been quoted as saying in reply that 'If Ridley would ever do it, we would do it in a second. So, never say never.' a pre-approval if ever i heard one...so lets hope Ridley gets the directing bug.
How do you like my first post in over 3 months
