The heaviest element known to science was recently discovered by university physicists. The element, tentatively named "Administratium," has no protons or electrons and thus has an atomic number of 0. However, it does have one neutron, 15 assistant neutrons, 70 vice neutrons, and 161 assistant vice neutrons. This gives it an atomic mass of 247. These 247 particles are held together in the nucleus by a force that involves the continuous exchange of meson-like particles called "morons." Since it has no electrons, Administratium, is inert.

However, it can be detected chemically as it impedes every reaction with which it comes in contact. According to discoverers, a minute amount of Administratium added to one reaction caused it to take over four days to complete. Without the Administratium, the reaction occurs in less than one second. Administratium has a half life of approximately three years, at which time it does not actually decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which assistant neutrons, vice neutrons and assistant vice neutrons exchange places. Studies seem to show that the atomic mass actually increases after each reorganization.

Research indicates that Administratium occurs naturally in the atmosphere. It tends to concentrate in certain locations such as governments, large corporations, and especially in universities. It can usually be found polluting the best appointed and best maintained buildings. Scientists warn that Administratium is known to be toxic and recommend plenty of alcoholic fluids followed by bed rest after even low levels of exposure.

The fish tank has become an increasingly curious object for little Aaron, his favourite hobby seems to be to smack both hands onto the front glass of the tank with some force like its a barrier that must be breached before wondering round the side to tug at all the lovely wires and inlet/outlet tubes from the external power filter. Up till now the thing that has been worrying me the most is 'what if he manages to detach the inlet or outlet tube to the filter', the filter cycles 900 litres of water an hour...my tank holds about 200 litres of water, if you do the math you realise that if my worst fears come to life the filter will empty that tank onto the living room floor in less that 15 minutes.
So today Aaron goes through his usual routine of harassing the tank and it's occupants and as i tell him to stop it and move him away i notice that he has detached the outlet tube from the spraybar...not a problem as it's all inside the tank...so i take the lid off to reattach the spray bar when i notice that the glass bracing bar that runs along the centre of the tank from front to rear has snapped in two.
What this means basically that the ONLY thing keeping that 200 litres of water in the tank is the glass sealant/adhesive used to attach the sides of the glass together..there is absolutely no strength left in the tank and the sides were bowing.
I have just removed half the tank water to relieve the pressure on the top of the tank and i need to now figure out what to do next...getting rid of the tank is a given but do i replace it or not, if i do replace it do i stick with freshwater or do i try my hand at marine...and can i bloody well afford to go the marine route.

Well, i have pleasure in announcing that England have regained the Ashes from the Aussies for the first time in about 18 years....there's no point me going on about how exciting it was because, to be honest, i never watched any of it...i don't understand cricket and have absolutely no interest in the sport...BUT, it is a milestone event worth mentioning as we don't seem to win much as a nation these days and we rarely ever manage to hold onto anything we do win. Congrats to the boys.

Yes, it's that time of the year when the 12 month contract finishes and we have the option of upgrading our mobile phones.
For quite a while now i have been moaning about the quality of service from 3 and had been threatening to quit 3 as soon as my 12 month obligation to them ceased. In the later part of my contract though i came to realise that 3's service is actually not that bad and that the main 'issue' seems to be with these bloody LG phones.
3G have a lot of new phones on the market now, some from very respected mobile phone manufacturers (Nokia, Motorola to name 2) and i have decided to 'trial' the new Motorola A1000 for 7 days before deciding if i should go through the hassle of changing service provider.
I've never had a PDA before and this phone is as close to one as you can get without it actually being one and my first impressions are that its a very good phone, my biggest gripe so far is that i have not figured out how to set MP3's that i have downloaded from the PC as ringtones, you can download them from 3's website but it'll cost you £3.50 and the quality ain't that good...and the handbook is not in depth enough so offers no insight past 'connect handset to pc via USB cable'.
Apart from that this phone is excellent, and i just found out that it supports Navicore, a new GPS Sat Nav system for smart phones and half the price of the ones i was looking at and removes the need for me to actually buy a separate PDA just for navigation.
So it looks like i will stick with this phone and 3G and with the reduced tariff i now have as well, it should keep me happy for the next 12 months.
