Thought i better put another post together, i've been a bit lazy over the last month which has mainly been spurred on from me not being very happy at work..to the point that a couple of weeks ago i handed in my notice out of the blue..i had had enough and wanted out and as Fliss is due to start back at work tomorrow i thought it a perfect opportunity to move on. As of yet i don't have a job to go on to as i'm enjoying having a bit of time to myself and Aaron as well as Fliss before she go's back to work.
Aaron is doing great, a very happy little boy...although when i say little i mean big.........well, we had him weighed today and he came in at just under 12lb, we also had him measured and he's just under 2 foot..not bad for an 8 week old boy ![]()
It was also his 8 week check up at the surgery, this is the nasty one where they give the children their first round of injections (DTP-Hib Vaccine) for things like meningitis, tetanus, diphtheria and polio etc, poor Aaron absolutely cried his eyes out, tears streaming down his face as the nurse stuck these massive (in comparison to Aaron's leg) needles in him.
As you can imagine he's not been in the best frame of mind today after the injections and we've been prescribed some paracetamol to give him just to help him settle.
What other news is there?....ah yes, me and the wife have upgraded our phones again and this time thought we would try 3.
This is the first time we have ever changed supplier since going onto contract and we made the mistake of not giving a months notice to Singlepoint (our O2 supplier) so consequently we cannot get our PAC code to transfer our mobile number to our 3 mobiles till we've done our months notice..which means we have 2 phones on the go and 2 bills due.
At the moment we have set our old O2 mobiles to divert all voice calls to our 3 mobiles but we are unsure whether we will keep these 3 mobiles.
The service itself and the phone, although rather heavy, are just fine but having read the paper yesterday i realised that we didn't get that much of a good deal from Phones4U at all.
The deal we have is 3 months free line rental with 750 mins talk time and 200 text and thereafter £35 a month with just 750 mins talktime on the LG U8110, some of the offers from the internet company's are offering 12 months half line rental (£12.50) for 500 mins plus the option of 200 texts for a further £10 a month plus lots of freebie goodies like leather case and in car charger etc and the slightly newer LG 8120...much pondering required before our 14 day evaluation is up.

Yes, i really do..it's getting to the point now where i get up in the morning and have to 'will' myself to go to work..i think i will be handing in my notice soon as trying to convince myself to 'do the right thing' and turn in to work is completely pointless, i'm obviously not happy at the moment and as the season draws in i'm just getting more and more pissed off!!..still..............
Proud daddy has yet again spent nearly an entire 24exp film on Aaron so there are more pics for you guys to have a look at in the gallery, every new set of pictures that i post seem to show how big he is getting in such a short time..not fat wise, just long..he's going to be a strapping lad at this rate and the little piggy is tucking away 9oz per feed every 4/5 hours. Fliss incidentally has decided to start bottle feeding as well as a bit of breast feeding (well, not so much breast feeding as expressing milk with a pump) because she has had incredibly sore nipples, she has also suffered a bit of Mastitis and Aaron seemed to constantly be on the breast feeding...i think the Mastitis that she was suffering from affected her milk supply and Aaron wasn't getting as much milk as he wanted, he was also using Fliss's nipples as a soother (i know how he feels) and every time he was taken off the breast, without exception, he would have a major crying fit till he was back on the breast, thus making Fliss's nipples even more sore...this also meant that he was not settling at all at night and it was becoming a real problem.
Since we went onto bottles i have had a bigger role in the feeding routine which i have enjoyed immensely, we bought Aaron some dummies as well (he prefers the cherry teats as opposed to the orthodontic teats) to use as the soothers when he's not feeding and Fliss has continued to express milk to give Aaron the best of both worlds. Aaron has started to settle down into a feeding routine and is much happier now, as is Fliss.
On one occasion Fliss went to a child clinic just for some advice and they did all they could to encourage her to stay on breast feeding, despite the obvious pain she was in and the unhappiness of Aaron, yes we know breast milk is the best stuff to have but somtimes..in fact quite a lot of times, it just does not work out for one reason or another. I personally thought they were less than supportive to the whole 'situation'.
I almost forgot to mention that Aaron was weighed last week and i'm happy to report he is a healthy 9lb 3oz's.
I bought myself a new P.C keyboard and mouse today...not much wrong with my old one's but i had no spares for my other P.C so thought i would treat myself...at P.C World they have a Logitech package for £30..Its a wireless package incorporating a keyboard and mouse and the mouse is a nice optical unit...which was a big selling point as i hate the traditional wheel mouse, so much crap gets wrapped around the internal wheels that you have to strip the buggers down frequently just to keep the things running accurately.
Still, for £30 it's not a bad package and although it doesn't have 6000 hot keys plastered all over it it's still a damn site better than the one i had (which incidentally was the original cheap keyboard bundled with my old P.C about 5 years ago!!).
