Yes indeed, Aaron James Procter arrived at his milestone one year birthday with all the vigour and excitement of a...well...one year old, with family and friends around to watch him rip and dribble his way through the wrapping paper hiding his presents. Many thanks to all those that sent cards and/or presents and those that came up for the day/weekend to celebrate Aaron's big day and partake of my pitiful excuse for BBQ food.
After all the doomsayers in the Met office proclaiming that the weekend would be a wash out it was an absolutely gorgeous weekend with the sun streaming down with much purposeness (i have resorted to making words up now).
There are some pics and more importantly for those family that never made it (my mum and dad for starters) we have motion picture as well which i have today transferred onto the pc ready for CD transfer.
I could whitter on about how much fun we had but i won't....
Some news of a different kind is that my semi-geriatric sperm have done it again, leaving Felicity with the unenviable task of carrying another of our offspring for nine months...to say we are in a state of shock is probably an understatement as the plan was to get our holiday to Cyprus out the way first (Lee and Sam's wedding) and then start work on the final addition to the family..still, whats done is done and we are happy to be having a second child so that Aaron can have a brother/sister to grow up with...also, anybody interested in baby sitting duties give us a bell wink.
Thats all for now folks...

You may have noticed a few little changes/additions to the website, basically i have improved some of the security on the old blog and as such there is now a throttle on posting..i may need to play with the setting a bit but basically after you make a post you can't make another post for 2 minutes, after that you have to wait a further 4 minutes etc...raising exponentially after each post..we will see how that goes anyway...i will have details of the throttle times on the main page as those 'trying' the throttle after they post will find that the mod see's no distinction between a post and a throttled post..meaning that each post or attempt causes the throttle time to increase regardless.
Another feature is a link throttle, in other words comments consisting of more than 2 hyperlinks will be rejected...not had a chance to test just yet cause in the process of testing the throttle i now have to wait 3 hours before i can post a comment again razz.
Thirdly is a blacklist of known spam/troll words (casino, blackjack etc) to combat erroneous trolls spamming my site with ads, again not had chance to test for the above reason.
Lastly there is a password feature in the posting form, this really is a precaution against people imitating me in comments for less than honest reasons and does not affect anyone but me...not happened yet but thought it a handy feature to have...so there you have it, like i said, the throttle may need adjustment but i will see how we manage.

I never got to see the US F1 yesterday but after everything i've read i'm glad i never, what a complete shambles with all but 3 teams, namely Ferrari, Minardi and Jordan boycotting the race.
It would seem that there were safety concerns expressed by Michelin about the track and the series of tyre blowouts in qualifying that they could not give an explanation for, the three teams that raced were on Bridgestones.
Whatever the issues are/were, it looks like the blame has been placed firmly at the feet of Michelin, most of the teams had asked for a temporary chicane to be installed ahead of the final turn to slow the cars down but the F1 officials AND Ferrari refused to sanction the proposals that lead to the mass boycott. It is not the first time Ferrari has refused to join the other teams in sanctions and agreements and continue to set themselves apart from the other teams, maybe it's an attitude of superiority.
Also of note is that originally all but Ferrari had agreed to boycott the race but when it came to it, Jordan decided to race which put Minardi 'in an impossible position' causing them to race as well...you could never call F1 a brotherhood could you.

One final observation is that my very first fathers day has passed without incident, Aaron got me a super huge yorkie bar and CD of ELO (yes, laugh if you must but i like them and your opinion on my music taste holds no weight with me).Happy belated fathers day to all you daddy's out there and especially to my dad who i yet again forgot to get a card for but will more than likely phone today rather sheepishly.

Today Felicity bought herself a car of her very own to run around in and to park in town when she is working, it was decided that when the MG comes back from the body shop that we would keep it out of town as much as possible and it's rather expensive running costs wise to potter about in anyway.
She has bought herself a little Citroen Saxo Open Scandal Limited Edition in metallic green, a funky little girly car with even funkier interior trim.
It may only be a 3 door, 5 speed 954cc saxo with about 50bhp but thats all she wanted, something cheap to run....and as it's group 3 insurance, does about 50 miles to the gallon and is in the lower tax bracket it more than meets her needs...and it's a convertible.....well, almost, the Open Scandal edition has a full roof fabric sunroof which slides back at the touch of a button (which happens to be the only electrically powered feature in the car.)
We are fast becoming a stereotypical family, i wonder what else will come in two's?

I really have got to the point where i detest living in this god damn place, someone last night keyed the Zafira hire car to add yet another 'event' to the catalogue of 'events' that have happened while living here.
What with last night, the two incidents with the MG, the problems Fliss has had at Flares (which granted most of you don't know about because of the professional implications involved), the wankers on the roads around town (and believe me, they really are wankers), the excessive speed enforcements and the amount of twats that come to Blackpool 'for a good time'...not to mention the gangs of kids that hang around abusing people. All in all i've had my fill of this cesspit and the only memorable event to happen here that i will always cherish is the birth of my son...i look forward to moving!!!
On the subject of jnr, it's an exciting time for him....or more for me actually as in 2 weeks time Aaron celebrates his 1 year birthday and were having a BBQ (prays for nice weather) so hopefully got lots of family and friends squeezing into our little house for the big event.

Any way, no matter how well you plan for the future, your aspirations, your dreams, the things you want, the things you need, life will always transpire against you and throw you that curve ball that you never saw coming, it's not always bad and it's not always good but you accept it and move on because thats life....is there a point to this paragraph? possibly, lets see what happens in the next 2 weeks.

Still not got the car back yet after over 2 months being in the workshop. The last contact i had had before today was about 2 weeks ago when they phoned to say that they were just waiting on some parts and then the car would be ready..i decided to pop in and see them today as i had not heard from them and it turns out that when they came to fitting the new airbags in the dash they would not go in, on closer inspection they found that the old airbags had damaged and warped the dash on the inside and needed a new one. Now they say it has been a bit awkward getting a new dash because PWC have not been releasing parts but i was under the assumption that parts were 3rd party and would not be affected...anyway, the dash has now added a further £700 to the estimate leaving a grand total for repairs to the front end standing at about £6500.
All thats left now i'm told is for a mechanic to make a few adjustments to the timing chain etc and then it's ours again...best go get the car tax then.

Well, the pain of the sunburn has all but gone but now starts the peeling...and boy, am i peeling, it's shedding off me in sheets and it's itchy as hell as well, serves me right though i suppose.
My birthday went without incident..me and the better half went out on Sunday for a meal and a few drinks and that was about it, i suppose at 35 the thought of going out on my birthday and getting smashed out of my face and then getting up for work the next day has lost some of it's appeal.

Had to have a good laugh at George Best in the paper yesterday, didn't he just deserve that kicking from his bit on the side...it's fair to say that i fucking hate him...he's a has been, womanising ex footballer who managed to destroy his liver on booze, get a new one and has pretty much destroyed that one and i really hope he dies soon....no, really.

Thats it...i'm to tired to write anything else.........................................!

These bloody birthdays are starting to come round with alarming frequency and as i pass into my 35th year of so called life i thought about a bit of life reflection.......then thought better of it, being a teenager was shite, being at school was shite and most of the jobs I've had in life have been shite as well, i'm happier now at 35 than i ever was in my youth and look forward to hitting 40 in the comfortable knowledge that life, though mostly quoted as being downhill after 21 continues to be a lovely ride without the prospect of me going into a mid-life crisis.
Much loves goes to my wife for making the last 4 years the best yet and giving me an absolutely gorgeous little boy, although come his 21st birthday will probably be referred to as 'twat', and i look forward to maybe adding a second to the family unit just to ensure that come my 45th birthday i will have hair greyer than the frequently shite weather of the British summertime.......except for the Tuesday just gone where the weather was stonkingly gorgeous and i, like a tit, feel asleep in it for about 2 hours topless and have been left rather sun burnt...arse
