For those of you that have a passing desire to know what our lovely little boy looks like there are some photo's available in the gallery's..or you can zip there now through this hotlink.
Aaron has a little bit of jaundice at the moment as his liver is still learning how to do it's job and until he's feeding properly it will remain for a little while.
The midwife came round today for her visit and she seemed happy with most things..she just wants to make sure he's breast feeding properly so she will be back tomorrow.
Still not sunk in properly that i'm a dad!!

Was born tonight at 6:54 pm at a nice little 7lb 8 oz's.
The easiest of pregnancy's turned into the mother of all labors as the little one refused to come out with any urgency.
After 6 hours of trying it was decided that a little help would be required because although the head was almost visible when she was pushing it would not progress any further and the baby was showing signs of distress on the monitor.
To cut a long story short, the doctor came in to perform a Ventouse delivery and during the delivery it was found that the umbilical cord was rapped around the baby's neck twice..thus causing all that distress when she was pushing earlier.
A push and pull, a snip in her nether regions (Episiotomy) to give the baby room, a couple of cuts to separate the cord (time of the essence so i could not cut the cord myself) and Aaron was born.
That wasn't the end for poor Fliss though because she had to endure a bit of sewing then to repair the cut the doctor made before she could finally relax and hold her baby.
I really did feel hopeless, guilty and upset at what she went through....so much so that in all honesty the way i feel about the whole episode makes me want to stop at the one and not put her through that ever again..The end result though makes it all worth it.

Both my PC's have been knackered for one reason or another preventing me from any enjoyment in life whatsoever..still, after over a week of pissing about both my ME and XP systems are back to 'hopefully' trouble free surfing and what not, both having had brand spankingly clean installs.
Main bit of news which i'm gratefully able to post here is that Fliss goes into hospital tomorrow evening to commence her inducement as baby has become a fully paid up squatter and is refusing to comply with the natural order of life and get it's own home. Those of you that know me can expect a call within the next couple of days when the baby is finally dragged kicking and screaming into this rather pathetic country...still, give it a few months and it will have it's first paper round.

Although statistically we were the favourites to win we indeed got our arses spanked yet again....not the greatest start to Euro 2004..England failed to stamp their authority on the game and some stupid mistakes in the later 10 mins meant the main frog man ZZ putting 2 away in as many minutes...if only Beckham hadn't faffed up his penalty we would be walking away with a draw instead of a loss...not that we deserved a draw mind you...so i guess we need to make the next 3 game really count to stand any chance at all.
On a sadder note it is my sad duty to report that my gran died earlier this week, she had a good innings but she did find it increasingly hard recognising or remembering people in her later years before passing.
Her funeral is on thursday...which is Felicity's due date as well so we will be hoping that mini-me doesn't try to upstage the whole event by turning up on time.

As a few people have pointed out, it's my birthday today and that makes me...umm...34....arse!!!
Having a nice day so far, pigged out at Pizza Hut today on their 'All you can eat Buffet', although it has to be said that i have nowhere near the appetite that i did when i was in my twenties...although i don't have the waistline either.
Back in the day i could have quite easily stuffed away 14 slices of pizza with plenty off pop and still had enough room for desert but as i have got older my appetite has dwindled to the point where i get to 9 slices and start getting all sensible and come out with comments like 'i'm just right, any more and i will be uncomfortable, now wheres my coco and slippers...', getting old sucks monkeys
.
We are off to the picture house soon and we are travelling to Preston to their Warner Village....sorry...Vue!!! (what a crap name), not sure what to watch but it's a choice between Troy, The day after tomorrow, Van Helsing and...yes, you guessed it, Harry Potter (mock all you want for you will surly die for your bitterness).
As a footnote, had the car serviced today (3 years/ 45000 miles) and it was not as expensive as i had anticipated. Nothing was found to be wrong and all it cost was £116, can't be bad for a V6 MG.
