Just thought i would make a little observation post.....
In the good old The Sun newspaper today the was a little column from Jimmy Greaves about the fact that we all seem to be anti-Chelsea at the moment and goes on to assume that it's because the avid sports fan of this country has a typical attitude of knocking any club that is 'new and successful' and goes on to say that Jose Mourinho is a 'breath of fresh air'.
Now don't get me wrong, fair play to them for winning the Prem title after tonights 2-0 win over Bolton...and i have no doubts about Jose's quality as a manager but having spent over 100mill on players you would have half expected them to win....it's the closest you can come to buying the prem title without actually walking up to the FA and paying for it.
Anyway, the main reason for the post was more for my own assumption as to why there is an anti-Chelsea mood...i think it's more to do with the fact that, over the last month or two, just about every single day we have had various members of the Chelsea team exclaiming that they are the best, they are unstoppable, they are on a different planet when it comes to football, they will dominate for the next ten years etc, etc, etc and it's become rather tiresome and boring...and one can't help hoping that they will get an arse kicking on the field to bring them back down to earth.
I really will be routing for Liverpool to put the skids under Chelsea's drive for the treble and knock them out of the Champions League Cup in the second leg....a hard task indeed considering their poor form at the moment in the prem (yet again fucking it up when it really mattered, a chance to close the gap on Everton to 1 point when they lost to Fulham only to bloody draw with Middlesbrough)...lets hope the team thats strolls out onto the pitch at Anfield is the team that gave Juventus such a hard time.

The garage have finally phoned me to say that they have been given permission to start repairs on the MG...so it will probably be about 4/5 weeks now before we get it back, at least i will have a car for the number plates i ordered for it just before the crash, otherwise they would have made some strange 'ornaments' to hang on the wall.
Say no to whack-jobs!!

Just as i was getting really used to the Nissan Primera and all it's lovely toys they go and take it off me...apparently Enterprise has sold the car and needed it back and now i've been given a bloody barge of a car known as a Vauxhall Zafira...not the new shape but the old shape mind you and i have to say it's shite, a gutless, wallowing turd on wheels...the MG can't come home fast enough.
On the topic of MG's, there's obviously a lot of chit chat and hearsay about the demise of MGR and what will happen now and who will by MG as a brand....and one name that seems to be popping up with alarming frequency this last week is Porsche.
Porsche have always wanted to 'diversify' into lower end markets but not at the expense of the Porsche brand and buying the MG brand could well be a perfect springboard for them. An MG with Porsche underpinnings and performance yet at an affordable 'everyman' price is quite salivating.....

Leading on from Matt's post on his website Xtaz, i thought i would give the 'Who should you vote for?' website a twirl to see how my opinions as far as party policies match up with my party leanings.
Some of my biggest opinions regard Europe and car use and so no surprise that , for me anyway it's UKIP all the way.
Results below..take the test, taste the difference!!!

| Labour -28 | |
| Liberal Democrat -2 | |
| Green 0 |
UKIP's primary focus is on Europe, where the party is strongly against joining both the EU constitution and the Euro. UKIP is also firmly in favour of limiting immigration. The party does not take a clear line on some other policy issues, but supports scrapping university tuition fees; it is strongly against income tax rises and favour reducing fuel duty.

Looks like the councils and Police are running out of places to put speed camera's on the A and B roads so have now turned their attention to the motorways in an attempt to increase their ill gotten profits in the name of road safety.
The first motorway 'victim' is the M4 between junctions 15 and 16 (Swindon) which i know some off my friends use on a fairly regular basis so i hope you guys are being a bit more careful ![]()
Apparently within the first hour of the speed trap going live some guy was clocked at 103mph...wouldn't like to be him!!
Of course we all know that motorways are up to 8 times safer than A roads and that to be honest, all this business about road safety is more about making money, especially when you hear that they intend to make the camera's max speed limit trigger random every day to stop motorists setting their cruise control to just under the camera limits..if thats not a blatant indication of the intension's behind setting up these camera's then i don't know what is.
If ever there was a time to buy a Road Angel then this is it..i have 9 points (although 3 expire in about 6 months) on my license and 6 of them are from speed camera's, were all criminals in the eye's of the law.

Well, the garage has been in touch with me today to say that the insurance company are looking at a possible repair as opposed to writing it off....so i can only assume that the market value of the MG's are still holding out for the time being and that there are no major structural problems.
The estimator at the garage is going to do a final, mega detail inspection to make sure that the quote he gave the insurance company is as correct as possible and then it's likely, providing there are no gremlins on closer inspection, to be in repair for 3/4 weeks max.
I did have a little natter with the lady on the end of the phone from the garage just to find out how much they had quoted for the work and it seems that the rough figure is around the 5k mark.
I think the repair will also be dependant on the availability of parts but in theory this should not be a problem as all parts are made 3rd party and therefore, at this early stage of MGR's administration should be readily available.

Sad news indeed today that MG Rover has gone into administration....hopefully this once great British manufacturing giant can still be rescued by a brave company willing to take on the debt burden and the massive task of updating the ageing models and change the very negative views of the British media who played no small part in it's demise. Hats off also to BMW who left Rover for dead when they asset stripped the company of their best brands (namely Mini and Land Rover) before flogging it with a pathetic 100mill 'loan' to tide it over till it sank.

Had a dentist appointment today, one of my teeth has a big hole in it from when the enamel chipped of months ago and i kind of knew what he was going to do to it cause he told me on the last visit i had.
I've never had a filling before (lucky me) and so have never experienced the shear pain of having the nerve's drilled out of the tooth prior to filling before today. I have come to the conclusion that dentists by their very nature must be sadists who enjoy causing others great pain in the name of dental hygiene....and the fact that i paid this man money to hurt me must make me masochistic.
If there was ever a reason for keeping your teeth clean and healthy it would so that i never have to go through that again.
One final word......come on you reds, Liverpool move within one point of Everton after they fucked it in their last game for that last euro place.

You may or may not know that the MG has had another accident...a bloody big one this time.
The accident happened on the 29th of this month (Tuesday) and was caused by a taxi driver doing a u-turn on the prom duel carriageway straight into the path of my oncoming car...i had just finished work and had gone into town to pick up Aaron from Fliss and take him home.
I am well pissed off as we had not long had the car after the incident with the coppers and now this happened...and it's looking like a write off.
The insurance stuff is moving more rapidly this time and we have got ourselves another courtesy car today which is a very nice Nissan Primera Estate 2.2 DCI with all the bells and whistles.
Aaron and myself are fine, i'm in a bit of discomfort as i have a few bruises but nothing major.....
So here, for your viewing pleasure/horror are the pictures of the car as it stands now.....
