12/09/2005 Entry: "The Ashes 2005"
Well, i have pleasure in announcing that England have regained the Ashes from the Aussies for the first time in about 18 years....there's no point me going on about how exciting it was because, to be honest, i never watched any of it...i don't understand cricket and have absolutely no interest in the sport...BUT, it is a milestone event worth mentioning as we don't seem to win much as a nation these days and we rarely ever manage to hold onto anything we do win. Congrats to the boys.

It certainly is a great achievement, and now that Duncan has educated me into appreciating the noble game, I have been watching it and enjoying greatly! Flintoff for PM!!!
