15/05/2005 Entry: "Star Wars Force FX Lightsaber"
OMG!!! i want one....with the onset of my 35th birthday and the yearning for the lost years of childhood and the fact that i'm a bit of Star Wars fan i visited this website and was instantly hooked.
It's completely impractical, very expensive and astoundingly childish but i feel the need to own one...a red one....and then dress up as Darth Vader and wander the streets at night pissing myself with laughter....ok, maybe not but the force is strong in this young apprentice.
In fact, most of the stuff on Firebox seems quite cool...i also like the VolP Cyberphone...would be very cool if say you and a friend were playing an online game and wanted to chat verbally while playing..at absolutely no cost...

They look well cool mate but 100quid is a bit steep for an orniment or toy do they make the correct sounds to

Yeah...make all the sounds...they have movement sensors and have different sounds for turning on/off/impact and movement...but yes, rather dear..having said that they are officially licenced Lucasarts products so you could see it as an investment in a collectible

And they also sell them in Forbidden Planet in bristol, only in more colours and style handles. They do the Darth Vader's red one, Luke Skywalker's blue one from A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back, the Luke Skywalker's green one from Return of the Jedi, Qui-gong Jinns green one, and Obi-Wan's blue one from Phantom Menace, and finally Mace Windu's unique purple lightsaber. All do the sounds and relistic blade raising/lowering, and also vibrate and arch when you bring them together! The guy in there told me they are making a Darth Maul twin blade soon also!
And yes... I want one too!

Very cool, the Darth Maul one sounds great...and i'm thinking of getting the phone as well... would be good for GB games...
