06/05/2005 Entry: "Labour win third term"

Well, the slimy lying bastards have won again...i know there's not exactly much to choose from the rest of the party's but come one...Blairs had 2 terms to sort out the stuff he said he was going to sort out 8 years ago and yet key issues like the NHS and immigration continue to get worse, there's only so long that you can continue to blame the previous goverment......
For all those that voted Labour, don't say you weren't warned when you find that they have invented several more tax's as well as increasing the one's we've already got, when we get forced into the EU Constitution by a man driven by the ego of recorded history, when we get saddled with the awful EURO, when deaths from infection in hospitals hits 500,000 a year, when petrol goes past £1 a litre, when you come to sell your home but no one wants to buy it because gypsies have set up camp on the local green and the government refuses to act because of the human rights act, when every mile of road in the country has a camera on it and when immigrants, whether legal or not, are allowed to sponge of the welfare state without being of any economical benefit to this country and whole borough's turn into small foreign country's.
Put it this way, i don't believe the Torys...or Lib Dem's for that matter could have fucked this country up any worse...same wrapper, different flavour.
Anyway..i wonder how many countries were going to invade in the next four years to increase Blair's world profile, i suppose it depends on whether more military cut backs means our armed forces going into battle with slingshots.

I think you might need to join the BNP. UKIP is probably a bit soft for your views smile

Not at all...they are genuine concerns at the constant watering down and erosion of this once great country's sovereignty, i am certainly not a racist but i can only take it up the ass for so long before it really starts to fucking hurt!!! razz
And for the record, just in case anyone thought Matt's comment was on the serious side, which i doubt, the BNP are a bunch of racist, bigot wankers in the same vein as the Third Reich and i would rather emigrate than offer support to one single member....just in case you were wondering as to my views wink

Heh. No I wasn't serious. But you are the only person I know who doesn't like either labour or libdem and complains about things like europe smile

Must be my special ability to see past the gloss, lies and spin razz

well personally i would hope that we get the euro, as at present its like being wedged between a door, sometimes we need parties to make forward thinking decisions, not to do what makes British people comfortable. Infections in hospitals is not a new thing or a labour thing its life, and as for petrol well thats a resource problem not Labours, and the only gypsies that are going to camp in your garden is your family. As for human rights, who wouldnt vote for that! The majority of people coming to Britain will go and work doing the shitty jobs you wouldnt want to do. so let them. Asylum seekers receive approx £25 a week after a long wait. So its hardly winning the lottery is it. Speed cameras reduce fatalities, so would you prefere more loaded guns on the road?

Posted by Lee @ 11:22 AM GMT 13/05/2005

Ahh Lee...so short sighted...
The Euro is a failing economy that various German and French officials have admitted doesn't work, even the German and French people are turning against their governments because of it.
The MRSA is entirely the product of Labours cronyism, employing more and more people into the NHS to do middle management jobs and take their share of the NHS budget to enforce waiting list targets instead of funding more doctors, nurses and just as importantly cleaners to actually tackle the dirt problem that exists.
As for petrol prices, Labour does NOT have to take 80 pence in the pound of every litre of petrol we put in our tanks...thier attitude is that we need it..so we must pay it. Labours aggressive petrol policy would be laughed at in the US.
Have you not been reading the news about so called gypsies camping out on village greens, cars parks, green belt land, local cricket greens etc...the police say the are powerless to intervene because of the stupid interpretations of the human rights act and the likes of Prescott deciding the gypsies should be allowed to break as many laws as they like..meanwhile these 'slobs' destroy valuable green acre's of land while stealing anything thats not nailed down in the local towns before moving of to wreck havoc somewhere else.
I don't have an issue with valid asylum seekers but we have some 300,000 people a year entering our borders seeking asylum and half of these people 'disappear' and Labour has no idea where or how to find them...this country his heading to wards saturation....and if Labour made more of an effort to force dole spongers into employment then maybe we wouldn't need the influx of asylum seekers to prop up our lazy populace.
And for your final point, speed camera's do NOT reduce road fatalities....fact, just the opposite i'm afraid. In almost all circumstances road fatalities have increased.
Labour are not as great as they like to make themselves out to be and had the Tory's had a more constructive election policy they would have ended back in power....the results of the election prove that Labour have lost their gloss and people are fed up of them...spin this, spin that.

The MRSA increase is due to fact that Labour introduced a testing and reporting scheme. So now the figures are more realistic. Infact the MRSA became a problem when the Consertives were in power and they were the ones who contracted out hospital cleaning to the private sector. Which has reduced standards. MRSA is a bacteria found on a third of the populations skin, and its only harmful if it goes deep into wounds. it is spread by touch so it is easy to pass on, and personally think allowing hospitals to become public places rather than medical centres increases the spread. It is much more the responsibility of doctors and nurses to do simple things like handwashing between patients etc. MRSA is responsible for 1 IN 1000 hospital deaths in the over 85 age group and 1 in 1000 in the under 85s. As for cameras, they use the money to increase road safety, which has been proven to reduce fatalities.

Posted by Sarah @ 05:45 PM GMT 16/05/2005

Is that the same shambles of a reporting scheme they use to produce figures for immigration, unemployment, crime etc or is it more to do with the fact that they can't cover up the deaths of patients any longer with 'unknown' and have had to come clean?
How long is Labour and their ignorant supporters going to blame the Tory's...is 8 years in power not enough to improve the general cleanliness of our hospitals?
Simple fact of the matter is that Labour have made it worse, not better...they continue to throw money at an antiquated health service thats crumbling under the weight of it's own bureaucracy when what it needs is re-building from new.
Also, i may not work in a hospital but i am well aware of what MRSA is and the Methicillin Resistant strain of Staphylococcus Aureus can also be passed in droplet form via the nose, mouth and lungs...not just by touch.
I would concede one point however, intensive care areas, operating areas etc should become public free, then the environment becomes more manageable and clean.
As for your stats, stats can be twisted to mean anything..there are approx 60 million people living in the UK, assuming that at least a quarter of the UK populace uses the NHS per year then by your figures your looking at about 30,000 deaths a year combined from MRSA infections!!! thats the sort of death toll you get in a war, that don't sound to clever.
As for camera's, they don't use the money to increase road safety, they use the money to buy more camera's and mobile vans to generate yet more money...there have been several high profile reports stating that road deaths have increased, not decreased...camera's are there to make money plain and simple.
